In the above video, Topper was approached to creates a custom solution for a company in the oil and natural gas industry. They were seeking a cart that would offer better part positioning at an ergonomic assembly level for their material handlers and assemblers. They also wanted to create a more effective and efficient way to build their products.
What is featured in the video is a push cart for assembly. The cart creates movable workstation for the assembler. As you watch the video, the material handler is able to push the cart easily from one assembly station to another. Instead of gathering parts and pieces and bringing them one by one back to their workstations, they are able to build on the go.
The cart has a raised rotation base. This enables the assembler to work from each side of the cart easier for the best ergonomic position. The top rotates 360 degrees and locks automatically every 90.°
The raised rotation top is positioned fr ideal ergonomics. This reduces the operators’ efforts by decreasing their forces in lifting, pushing, and picking and pulling materials.
